Your Body, the Way You Want It
HEY YA’LL! I’m Kendra, the trainer here at Foxxy Fitness. I have been a fitness instructor for the past six years. Growing up I was always active, running around with my sisters, riding horses, racing the other kids in the neighborhood, and playing every sport I could. Throughout High School I played basketball, ran track and cross country, and worked when I wasn’t participating in sports; all of that to say I was busy and very active, so my weight was never truly an issue. Fast forward to me receiving a notification that my 10-year high school reunion was a few months away. Since high school I had gained 45lbs and just couldn’t face my former classmates with this…MOM-BOD; so, I went to work on getting back into shape.
The years since graduation were spent raising kids and supporting my husband through his military career putting my health and fitness on the back burner. Like many others I let life happen and didn’t make fitness a priority. The first thing I realized when I started, was that I knew lots of exercises but had no clue how to put them together to create an effective workout. Now, one bachelor’s degree and nine different certifications later I can share my knowledge with my clients and educate them on the dos and don’ts of fitness and proper form.

Even though I haven’t been able to be in the Foxxy Fitness gym [due to COVID-19], the virtual workouts have been INSTUMENTAL in my journey. I’m down 5 pounds in 3 weeks because I’ve been able to stay consistent and there’s NO way that would have been possible without @Kendra Schwartz and @foxxyfitness offering virtual classes, at times I can actually make them (balancing a busy day of kids and work). I could easily be taking this time off and losing steam and motivation, but instead, I’m held accountable each morning, to get it done and continue making progress!
Kendra Schwartz is an amazing trainer and really knows her stuff! I started noticing meaningful changes in my body shape within the first 4 weeks of working with her! Let alone the strength I gained and inches I lost! Thanks, Kendra!
Kendra does the impossible and makes working out fun. If there’s an exercise I absolutely hate, she will adapt it or help me get stronger so it’s not so aversive (pull-ups)!! I also appreciate that she offers a 5:30 am class in Nixa, as finding time to workout had been a big struggle for me in recent years. Thanks Kendra!
